Ukraine is an eastern European country. The country is located at the northwest end of the Black Sea sharing its borders with Russia in the east, Belarus in the north, Poland in the northwest, Slovakia and Hungary in the west and Romania in the southwest and south, with Moldova in between. Ukraine is Europe’s second-grandest nation.

Climate and

Ukraine’s climate is continental in nature. Winters are typically cold and snowy while summers are hot and dry. The mean temperature in the month of July is 24 degrees centigrade. In the month of January, it is very cold with the temperature falling below 0-degree centigrade.

In Ukrainian foods such as carrots, salmon, beets, onions, garlic, cucumbers, legumes (beans, peas and Carpathian villages-beans) vegetables play an important role. A typical Ukrainian diet is made up of potatoes, pasta, various types of kasha (porridge), fish, cheeses and sausages.
